Brixham - The Gem of the South Devon Coast!

Brixham is a place where all visitors, whether staying or just visiting for the day, are made to feel very welcome but Brixham has a special place in its heart for the family. Whether it’s fishing for crabs, discovering the content of a rock pool or building that very special sandcastle… all produce super smiles and sleepy heads.

Using up that boundless energy at Berry Head Country Park, or swimming at our very own Shoalstone outdoor pool... all great holiday ideas that are totally FREE. Because Brixham has so much free fun you can budget for something a bit special such as a boat trip from the harbour. There are so many options to choose from with prices to suit all pockets and no trip to Brixham would be complete without a visit to our very own full sized pirate ship, The Golden Hind. Ideal for the young and young at heart.

During our many family friendly festivals, there are often great competitions, activity days and so much more which everyone can join in. Take home happy memories and come back and see us soon!

On a hot and sunny day in Brixham there's nothing better than a walk along the coast, exploring every inch of the beautiful coastal path that exists around Brixham and the surrounding Torbay area.

Head out past Berry Head and circle around onto Sharkham Point and Mansands, or go the opposite direction past Churston and Oxen Coves, through Broadsands and onto Paignton and Torquay.

All the walks around Torbay are family and pet friendly and are a great way to spend a day or two of your holiday.

Brixham is one small part of the wider English Riviera, including both Paignton and Torquay, located just five miles from the picturesque Dartmouth.

The English Riviera may be most famous for its award winning beaches and exotic palm trees, but it has much more to offer than just seaside holidays. The English Riviera has more attractions than any other resort in the UK and is also a Global Geopark. Getting out on the water is what our visitors love to do, and there is a great selection of boat trips and tasty local food and fresh fish to enjoy.

Torquay is the birthplace of crime writer Agatha Christie, and the whole resort is the location for a packed programme of all year events and festivals including the annual Agatha Christie Festival.
